Citizens Initiative is primarily a vehicle to connect those in need with people and institutions that have ways and means to assist.. To do that, we have to be guided by certain terms. Our values are a constant reminder of why we are here and how we interact with each other, our clients and the communities we are serve.
Integrity
We hold ourselves to high moral and ethical standards. Every Board member, employee or volunteer commits to being honest and truthful in their dealings on behalf of the organization.
Transparency
We commit to making available critical data about the organization including periodic disclosures of the state of our finances, project statuses, expenditure and employee remuneration subject to US privacy laws
Accountability
We take responsibility of our actions and are always willing to explain to our stakeholders, employees, clients and volunteers upfront
Efficiency
We pride ourselves in being good stewards of the resources that we get. We are different, we are not wasteful and we are productive. We make sure that not more than 20% of our funds go towards administrative costs, rather; we strive to make sure that most of our finances reach the intended beneficiaries
Respect
We value ourselves as individuals and as an organization. We interact with other people and communities that we serve with dignity. We value their rights
