In March 2019 the Eastern Highlands in Zimbabwe (Chimanimani, Mutare, Mutasa, Chipinge and Zimunya) was struck by Tropical Cyclone Idai. The initiative engaged local grassroots voluntary support mainly through One Church and Miracle Missions in Harare, Zimbabwe. They coordinated our effort and enabled us to partner with other relief agencies. In total USD 106,712 was raised. A Harare audit firm KRES Chartered Accountants, was asked to review our funds allocation. Funds raised included the rebuilding of 2 school blocks and provision of desks and chairs for the pupils. This reconstruction cost USD 28,000 while USD 46,000 was used for food and medical support through our local partners.
